The Space Science Institute (SSI) has developed a number of education and public outreach (EPO) products and services that could benefit your EPO program. SSI is a full-service EPO provider. It has a national reputation in the design of innovative workshops for scientists, engineers, EPO leads as well as the design of small and large exhibitions. SSI also develops standards-based curricula, conducts science workshops for educators and partners with a variety of organizations to produce public outreach products that bring space science down to Earth.

Why partner with the Space Science Institute?

Dr. Bicay, EPO lead for NASA SIRTF, and colleagues participate in one of SSI's education workshops for scientists.

SSI uses a highly collaborative, team-based approach to projects, working closely with our clients to help them realize their educational goals. Our projects encourage our audience of visitors, students, educators, and participants to engage in hands-on, minds-on learning. SSI is also a national leader in involving scientists and engineers in the development of EPO programs. Our experience is that involving scientists across the spectrum of EPO activities improves scientific content as well as providing a window into the passion that drives scientific research. Researchers benefit because they are able to share their science with the general public resulting in increased understanding and appreciation. Building bridges between these communities and others is a strategic strength of the Institute.

When you think EPO, think SSI!
