Information and Resources for Scientists

The Space Science Institute (SSI) integrates scientific research with science Education and Public Outreach (EPO). Research activities are currently ongoing in planetary sciences and space physics, and we are always looking for new scientists to join our team.

SSI also engages space and earth scientists nationwide in making effective contributions to its EPO programs, including

Dr. Bicay, EPO lead for NASA SIRTF, and colleagues participate in one of SSI's education workshops for scientists.

Two other of SSI's EPO programs involve supporting scientists in becoming more effective contributors to non-SSI EPO efforts. SSI has pioneered highly successful Workshops for Scientists and Engineers on K-12 Education. SSI also serves as host to a NASA Office of Space Science (OSS) Broker/Facilitator program designed to support scientists in developing education partnerships for EPO proposal segments associated with OSS research grants.
